Jay Lauffer the software engineer has created the loadngo branded open source software products for the purpose of helping himself and others accomplish their goals. His ambitions are to affect change in the world through the application of technology. He has a particular interest in the preservation of human life. Jay has been known to let his idealism blind his pragmatism and be pedantic about moral objectives. He is known to have a sense of humor and envies the most interesting man in the world.
Jay's early education was in the field of creative writing and as a result he has embarked upon the creation of a living novel using the medium of hypertext and the world wide web. Much of his work has been destroyed multiple times over and lost through various blunders by others or at his own hands. Jay has been psychologically evaluated because of his tendency to speak and describe himself in the third person, he was found wanting of sanity and therefore committed to a life of hard labor. He now serves his sentence at a video game company.
Jay's childhood dream to become a rockstar was discarded during his late teens when he began to recognize that he did not have a beautiful voice or bountiful musical talent. Unfortunately he regained his self-confidence and began his quest for rock and roll stardom anew in the first part of the new millenium, also known as his thirties. The results of this quest are plastered to the embarrassment of his family and loved ones on YouTube. Perhaps for his own safety a policy of censorship and limited access have mitigated mass humiliation throughout the world.
Jay further found the means to expose his soft and very delicate heart to humanity by sharing the rather pathetic works he considers art. For most people the visual images do not cause permanent emotional and mental damage however the following mild side-effects have occurred: blindness and a fear of ever seeing again. Jay considers himself a work-in-progress and has no intention of finishing anytime soon.
